Venue: The Bowling Green.

Abigail Reynolds studied Fine Art at Goldsmith University and is now based in St Just, Cornwall. She has been making a journey along The Silk Road from Xi’an in China to Herculaneum in Italy to document lost libraries, interweaving the religious and secular narratives of Europe and Asia. The journey will be fully documented in a book that will be published in 2018, and she is also creating art work which derives from her experience of this extraordinary journey.

Her work also serves to highlight how essential libraries are to a community; and that, while libraries are being lost in Mosul through conflict, we are losing ours in the UK through sheer neglect.
