Venue: Workshop Barn, on Saturday, Sunday.

Learn from the best in the field of Botanical Illustration. Sarah Jane will guide you through the basics of drawing beautiful flowers and foliage with precision and poise.

With over 20 years of professional Illustration experience, and work published internationally, Sarah Jane was the first female Scientific and Natural History Illustrator to be represented by the Wildlife Art Company. This went on to become the Worlds largest stock agency of its kind. Choosing later to follow her passion and specialise in Botanical Illustration. A background in Scientific and Natural History took a harmonious side step into the fascinating world of plants. Over the years an exploration of drawing techniques has led to some wonderful commissioned Artworks for the BODY SHOP, McGraw Hill and The Eden Project. Most recently, she has been presenting talks and Exhibiting with the Royal Horticultural Society, after being selected from one of the most prestigious international Botanical Art Competitions.

This workshop is a wonderful opportunity in an exquisite location to take on some fresh inspiration from naturally derived subjects. The workshop is suitable for all abilities and will encompass observational drawing techniques from life, with a variety of seasonal flowers. The workshops always attract a rich diversity of people, so you never know who you may end up sitting next to! Beyond the secrets of an almost cathartic approach to Botanical drawing, everyone somehow leaves relaxed and inspired. It’s not just about the drawing, it’s about seeing a beautiful world through new eyes.
