“Bring Us a Story” is an interactive storytelling event hosted by children’s authors Craig Green and Emily Barr. They invite you to bring ideas from the festival site – or inspired by the Cornish countryside, or from its history and culture – which they’ll weave into a crazy tale of adventure and excitement. Expect a story involving pukka pasties and pesky piskies; smiley smugglers and stinky seagulls; pongy pirates and frantic fishermen… Or none of the above!
Craig Green is a children’s author and the creator of the award-winning publishing house Clickety Books whose resources help children in schools worldwide. His latest book is an epic story for children, Captured! The Incredible Story of Thomas Pellow, a thrilling Cornish tale of pirates, kidnap and escape.
Emily Barr started out as a journalist at the Guardian, and wrote a column for the travel pages. She is the author of twelve psychological thrillers, including Backpack and her debut Young Adult thriller, The One Memory of Flora Banks was published to great acclaim by Penguin in January 2017.
