Venue: Pulse.

Livewire bring amps, a PA and loads of instruments to help keen young musicians learn and start jamming. They run tuition classes and acoustic jam sessions open to all comers and feature a new young band live each night.

Livewire is an independent long-standing youth charity based on the banks of the River Tamar in Saltash, Cornwall, offering support to young people through music and traditional youth work, helping steer them through the trials and tribulations of growing up.

Livewire focuses on support for young people aged 10 to 21 offering a full range of quality facilities and activities, including music lessons, guitar, bass, drums and vocals, rehearsal and recording studios, plus a 250 capacity live music venue staffed by the young people to put on shows to their peers and the public.  We also have a coffee bar area with pool and games tables among other socially engaging activities.

Started in the 1940s as the Saltash Boys Club, and now in our 70th year,  Livewire is now known locally as Livewire Youth Music Project – “Making Music, Changing Lives” – because we recognise the power of music to transform and build confidence.
