Sara Baume was born in Lancashire and grew up in County Cork. Her fiction and criticism have been published in anthologies, newspapers and journals including The Irish Times, The Guardian, The Stinging Fly and Granta magazine, while her debut novel, Spill Simmer Falter Wither, was shortlisted for the Costa First Novel Award. At Port Eliot she will talk about her second novel, A Line Made by Walking, which was the Caught by the River Book of the Month for March 2017.
