Our oceans are filled with plastic – the sea surface, the seabed and all along the shorelines are full of the stuff, and plastic itself now accounts for around 75% of all marine debris. The problems are two-fold; our use of fossil fuels to produce plastic causing damage to the atmosphere and the rapid accumulation of marine litter affecting nearly 700 species across the globe.

Join Dr Sabine Pahl for a collaboration between Plymouth University and Surfers Against Sewage as they discuss the environmental and societal impact of this unwanted sea-fiend. We know it’s a huge problem but is there a solution?
