Wild Life Drawing is a drawing class with a difference. Instead of human life models, the subjects are real animals. These workshops aim to inspire appreciation and understanding for animals of all kinds and to raise awareness of conservation issues around the globe.
For the workshops at Port Eliot Festival, you will be meeting and drawing owls, including species such as the Barn Owl, Tawny Owl and the European Eagle Owl. These birds will be coming from the local Screech Owl Sanctuary with their expert handlers, and as well as sketching you will learn about owl conservation, habitat and evolution.
You will go away with not only some great drawings, but a newfound respect and admiration for these beautiful birds of prey. Wild Life Drawing works only with the finest animal sanctuaries, charities and small selection of trusted animal handlers to put on these events. All the owls are well used to humans and different environments and are always accompanied by experienced handlers – their welfare is our highest priority.
All drawing materials are supplied, including paper and drawing boards, and drawing tips and guidance will be provided throughout the session. All abilities are welcome to join, no previous drawing experience is necessary. We welcome children aged 7 and above, and all children should be accompanied by an adult.
Price £12, for ages 7+, all children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket
