Suzi Feay

Literary Journalist

I’m a London-based literary journalist with a particular interest in fiction and poetry, writing regularly for The Independent, The Guardian and The Financial Times, among others.

A regular reviewer and broadcaster, I’ve had stories and poems published in The London Magazine, Magma and Poetry Review and have read my work at the South Bank and the Working Men’s College in Camden.

I teach journalism to creative writing students at Brunel University.

I have taken part in many literary events at festivals including Latitude, Wilderness, Althorp, Bath, Harrogate, Plymouth, Cheltenham, Brighton and the South Bank. Stage interviews include: Martin Amis, Bret Easton Ellis, Sarah Waters, Barbara Kingsolver, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Edward St Aubyn, Sarah Hall, Justin Cartwright, DBC Pierre, Peter Ackroyd, Barbara Trapido, Ali Smith, Yann Martel, Michael Cunningham, Andrea Levy, Alan Warner, David Baddiel, Richard E Grant and Graham Swift.

Print interviews include Ian McEwan, Roger McGough, Margaret Atwood, Nick Cave, Beryl Bainbridge, Pedro Almodovar, Christopher Lee and Jackie Chan.

A member of the Authors Club, I am chair of the judging panel for the Best First Novel Award.
