WATER taps can be found in and around the site and are supplied with mains water.
ALCOHOL: You are permitted to bring your own alcohol to Port Eliot Festival but this is only to be consumed on the festival campsite. Please only bring a reasonable amount with you, i.e. a maximum of around 12 beers and a bottle of wine per person. For health and safety reasons please do not bring any glass bottles: decant into plastic before you arrive.
THE SITE: Our grade one listed garden site creates some of the magic and beauty surrounding the festival. However, please do consider that something this old and beautiful has been put to the test of time through the years and can be a little rough under foot. Paths can be uneven and tree roots are plentiful. Please do take care and watch your step around site.
THE RIVER: Forming the site boundary the river Tiddy is a glorious place to swim or paddle. We advise that you do so only in the areas with lifeguards present and you do not go in the river after dark.
FESTIVAL WARES: There will be a shop on the site selling toothpaste, midge spray, loo paper, mobile phone charging and other necessities next to the Haha bridge and outside the Round Room. Opening times: 9am til late each day.
FOOD AND DRINK: the festival offers a handpicked range of the best food and drink options offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.
GLASS: the festival operates a no glass on site policy. Please help us by decanting your drinks into plastic before you arrive.
FIRST AID: is available 24 hours a day throughout the festival (see map in the Festival Programme). Antimosquito sprays etc, can be bought in the Site Shop.
INFORMATION POINTS: There are two information points at the festival situated at the top and bottom of the site. These points will be selling the official festival programmes and will have large scale maps of the site for you to look at to help you find your bearings. Festival staff will be on hand to answer any questions you might have.
CASH MACHINES: We have ATMs on site located on the HaHa and in the Walled Garden.
LITTER is horrible! Please help us to be as GREEN as possible. There are many bins around the site separately labelled recyclables and nonrecyclables, please endeavour to use these.
ECOCUP The Festival is battling single use plastic onsite this year by introducing a reusable cup system at the bars. A one off fee of £1 is charged for your first cup. This covers the cost of manufacturing and printing the cups. You can then exchange your cup for a clean one every time you purchase a drink meaning you always have clean cup, but they are washed and reused rather than thrown away. When you’re finished you can keep the cup as a souvenir or drop it off at a bar if you don’t want to keep it. Please help support us to keep the estate clean and green with this system.
We are also encouraging you to bring a reuseable cup to reduce single use coffee cups which are not recyclable. You can purchase your own Festival cup from our Festival Shops or bring your own and use washing up stations at top and bottom of site.
SHOWER facilities are in the camping field at a cost of £2. Open from Thursday evening and then daily 0700 – 1300, 1600 – 2000
Please use sparingly. The Pamper Parlour will be on hand with tea, coffee and crumpets plus hair dryers and straightners to help you get festival glam.
DOGS: Please do not bring a dog (guide dogs only).
TOILET facilities are available on site. For a luxury toilet experience, check out Loowatt, a waterless energy-generating toilet system, at 2 locations in the camping area and near the Bowling Green. Click here to purchase a Loowatt wristband. Limited supply.
TAXIS to get you to and from the site if you’re staying in the area: You will find local taxi firm numbers posted at information points and in the Production Office in the Walled Garden.
SWIMMING POOL: Sorry – this is strictly off limits during the festival thanks to the forces of ‘Awe and Boredom’.
WHEN YOU GO: Please be sensitive to the residents of the village when you leave and remember to Leave No Trace.
