Sarah Mower MBE is the curator of the festival’s unrivalled fashion line-up, transforming the beautiful Walled Garden into the Wardrobe Department and Theatre of Fashion with her band of co-conspirators. In addition to whipping up a line-up of heady fashion treats and surprises for festival-goers, Sarah will chair three hotly antipicipated talks over the festival weekend:
Inside Game of Thrones: three great British talents discuss their roles in the HBO fantasy drama which is gripping the imagination of audiences around the world. Thrones' costume designer, Michele Clapton, Gemma Jackson, production designer on the first three seasons, and Gwendoline Christie, who plays Brienne of Tarth, will join Sarah Mower to talks about working in Westeros.
The Medieval Mania Show: as the influence of Game of Thrones fantasy sweeps through fashion, Alexander Fury of the Independent and Sarah Mower of US Vogue ransack the romantic and sinister history of medieval revivals from Victorian times to our new Dark Ages. Illustrated with an unrepeatable staging of clothes by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, Dolce&Gabbana, Giles, Rick Owens, Gareth Pugh, Mary Katrantzou, Loewe, worn by the good people of Port Eliot festival.
The Marques’Almeida Girl: Fresh from their recent win of the coveted LVMH prize in Paris, London-based design duo Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida will explore the beauty behind the brand with Terry Barber, M.A.C Director of Makeup Artistry, looking at how beauty has influenced and inspired their past collections.
