Alex Bellos shortlisted for major prize

Port Eliot performer Alex Bellos’ new book, Alex’s Adventures in Numberland, has just been shortlisted for the Samuel Johnson Prize.

He’ll be giving us a personal account of his mathematical adventures at this year’s festival, as well as staging an amusing take on ‘The Power of X: maths and kissing’ with Lana Citron.

Ben Moor returns to Port Eliot

His one-man show Colecanth was a great hit at last year's festival; now we're pleased to announce actor Ben Moor as a last-minute addition to our 2010 line-up. A star of The I.T Crowd and Knowing You…with Alan Partridge, Ben will be running a drama class in the Idler's Academy*.
