Jakob Dylan just confirmed
Former lead singer and songwriter for rock band The Wallflowers and son of the legendary Bob Dylan, Jakob Dylan has just confirmed he’ll be playing at the festival this year.
Jakob has released two successful solo albums, including Women and Country (produced by T Bone Burnett) this spring. From uplifting banjo, pedal steel and fiddle-flecked alt-country to lazy horns and trumpet waltzes peppered with Jakob’s soulful, smoky vocals, don’t miss his deliciously mellow summer sounds.
As you’d expect from such high-calibre lineage, Jakob has toured all over the world and performed with the likes of Eric Clapton, Willie Nelson and Norah Jones. As his Grammy Award-winning producer (and legend in his own right) T Bone Burnett says: “As far as Jakob is concerned, I can’t imagine having larger footsteps to follow in. But Jakob’s character is clearly defined and he handles success with grace, which also says a lot about Bob as a father.” Talking about the success of The Wallflowers album Bringing Down the Horse, T Bone went on to say, “”I don’t think Jakob sold a single record because he is Bob’s son. I think he sold a lot of records because ‘One Headlight’ is a very good song. I wonder how many Wallflowers fans even know who Bob Dylan is?”
