Port Eliot is much more than a festival in a field. Events take place around every corner; in unusual historic venues, under dappled trees, in the house itself, down by the estuary. So make time to roam and discover it for yourself.
Next to the house is the finest and the oldest church in Cornwall. Once a cathedral and part of the pilgrims way, it’s a fascinating building, with its Norman arch and Byrne Jones stained glass; harmonising architectural features from down the years. It’s still a parish church, and it becomes a music venue for the festival, where the acoustics and setting make for particularly captivating performances – it’s always a highlight.
