This year’s literary line-up brings you a glorious mixture of big names and more than its fair share of surprises.

As ever, this year we’re seeking out the best new writers around, providing a platform for international and local talent, and playing host to some of our most beloved authors. Expect some fine examples of nature writing, an unconventional memoir or two, counter-cultural histories, literary podcasts, comic masterpieces, and… who’s for a literary Tarot reading?

2018 provides us with some great themes to explore, too – it’s the 100th anniversary of Universal Suffrage so we’ll be marking that milestone with a look back at the story of women’s rights over the last hundred years. It’s also the 70th anniversary of our beloved National Health Service and we look forward to celebrating some great writing – both fiction and non-fiction – by both medical practitioners and commentators alike.

And don’t forget, there will be a fantastic array of children’s authors onsite across both the literary stages and in the Wildlings Wood, to keep kids occupied throughout the day (and even at bedtime).
