Having originally joined the festival in 2015, this year will mark their fourth instalment at Port Eliot and is set to be the best yet, with a full programme of workshops, talks, installations, demonstrations, live bands and DJs; all running from morning to night each day. As part of their area, they also have their own bar, sound system and a cafe from the brilliant Yallah Coffee Roasters.
Hole & Corner was launched in May 2013 as a lifestyle brand centred around a print magazine ‘celebrating and promoting creativity, craftsmanship, heritage and authenticity’.
By documenting and gaining the trust of some of the world’s best designer-makers and artisans, Hole & Corner have also developed an active events and experiences programme called ‘Create Connect Craft’. These occasions provide their ever-growing community of interested and like-minded people to interact and learn from the same talented makers that they feature in print and online.
Placing equal importance and value on making and learning as they do on great food and drink, music, art and inspiring locations, the culmination creates an environment that’s rather unique and special at Port Eliot.
As they say: ‘Hole & Corner isn’t a purist craft organisation – we represent a community and an approach to enjoying life on one’s own terms. At Port Eliot, we come together to share knowledge, learn new skills, meet people and ensure a good time whilst we’re there: Craftwork by day, Kraftwerk by night!’
