Mik Artistik’s Ego Trip return with their madcap mix of music, comedy, and straws! For the uninitiated how, would you compare and describe them? Simply, you don’t… as there is no one else quite like them. So why not come along to see what all the fuss is about.
It’s an incredibly daft, joyful, and sometimes poignant affair, as Mik tumbles around the stage, spluttering lyrics, occasionally tripping over leads, and sprinkling the audience with straws, while the elegant engine room of Benson Walker and Jonny Flockton hold down the melodies. It’s a joyous experience which will make you sing, dance, laugh and cry.
The boys draw wild and enthusiastic crowds at all the major festivals they attend, and last summer their white label promo single ‘Plastic Fox’ was as good as ‘Single of the Week’ on BBC 6Music after presenter Gideon Coe, who described the band as the “best live act he has seen all summer” chose it as his ‘Recommends’ track.
