Join artist Stephen Fowler for a workshop on the punk art of rubber stamping. You will realise the creative potential of D.I.Y rubber stamp printing, learn to carve rubber stamps from erasers, make single colour and multi-colour stamp prints, and to bind a limited editioned pamphlet to house your stamp impressions.
Small press publications, rubber stamps and alternative printmaking are the focus of Stephen Fowler’s authorial illustration practice. His zines and artist books are held in national collections such as the Tate and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
Fowler has also run collaborative and experiential workshops in drawing and printmaking at the Whitechapel Art Gallery, Birmingham Library, the V&A, the Wallace Collection, Hayward Gallery’s Wide Open School, and Margate’s Turner Contemporary gallery.
His book on rubber stamping, published Laurence King publishing, is out now.
