Join Janice M to sing among the inspiring and ever-changing acoustics of nature in the stunning grounds of Port Eliot Festival. During this unique and immersive experience you will quickly learn simple melodies and harmonies of beautiful songs in a friendly, group atmosphere. Guided by singer and vocal coach, Janice M, participants will sing a cappella among the sounds of nature, creating a memorable and shared experience.
The Wild Singing Workshops will include fun engaging warm-ups through to good vocal techniques, which you can apply long after leaving the event. It is an experience is for singers of all abilities, including complete beginners, and will be taught by ear with no experience of reading music necessary. Your lyrics for the songs will be provided on beautiful bespoke designed postcards for you to keep. Wild Singing is all about harmonising with the great outdoors and feeling good.
Born in Cumbria and residing in Cornwall for the last ten years, Janice M has performed for private and public events and in venues all over the Southwest. From jazz to soul, folk to gospel, she fuses a range of genres in her own inimitable vocal style.
Alongside singing in Cornwall-based band The Grace Notes, Janice M is a vocal coach and works regularly with various community groups and runs wild singing events.
The Friday and Sunday sessions are for adults, and there will be two Saturday sessions - one for adults and one for families.
