Brian Selznick is the author of many books, including Wonderstruck and The Invention of Hugo Cabret which was the basis for Martin Scorsese's Oscar winning movie Hugo. His new book, the Marvels, will be published in the fall. He lives in Brooklyn, New York and San Diego, California with his husband David Serlin.
