Jason Goodwin

Traveller & Historian

Jason Goodwin is a traveller and historian whose first thriller, The Janissary Tree, won the 2007 Edgar Award for Best Novel. Translated into more than 40 languages, the novels in the series follow Yashim, an imperial sleuth and impeccable cook, in Ottoman Istanbul. The latest is The Baklava Club.
Inspired by demonstrating recipes in the Flower and Fodder Tent last year, Jason has collected all the recipes to produce Yashim's Istanbul Cook Book, which is being launched at Port Eliot.
