Louise Carpenter

Journalist and Author

Louise Carpenter was born in 1970 in Essex, where she grew up. She is the author of An Unlikely Countess: Lily Budge and the 13th Earl of Galloway, published by HarperCollins (2004) and Ida and Louise, Dorlemann (2008), first published in Granta (The Deep End, 2007). She also writes for The Times Magazine, The Daily Telegraph Magazine and The Observer.

She lives in Dorset with her husband and four children.
