Make a Star Wars mask with Glyn Dillon

Born in 1971, Glyn has had a wide-ranging career, working as a storyboard artist, concept artist and designer for both film and television. Early in his career Glyn drew comics and later worked as an illustrator in toy design and animation. He then wrote and drew the award winning graphic novel ‘The Nao of Brown’ for which, in 2013, he won Best Book Category at the British Comic Awards. The French translation ‘Le Nao de Brown’ also garnered him the 2013 Prix Spécial du Jury du Festival d’Angoulême award and then in 2014 his book won Best Foreign Book at the Treviso Comic Book Festival, Italy.

In recent years Glyn has again teamed up with Dave Crossman as Costume Designers on SOLO: A Star Wars Story, continuing his relationship with the Star Wars universe, having previously been co-costume designer on Rogue One and Costume Chief Concept Artist on Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the upcoming (untitled) Star Wars episode IX.

Glyn will be running a workshop where you’ll design and paint a miniature model replica of a Mandalorian (Boba Fett) helmet. The workshop will involve a bit of imagination, a steady hand, acrylic paints and some super glue - suitable for 10 years up to adults.
