You’ll hear laughter throughout the festival site, not least as a result of some of the biggest names in comedy cutting loose for the unsuspecting Port Eliot crowd.

We always draw an eclectic line-up of comedians. In recent years we’ve heard from the likes of James Acaster to Shappi Khorsandi, Jeremy Hardy to Tony Law. We’ve had songs from Mitch Benn and comic poetry care of Murray Lachlan Young… and let’s not forget Cornwall’s own Kernow King.

And it’s not just about stand-up. We also welcome comedians and comic writers talking about and doing the things that matter to them: we’ve had Isy Duttie interviewing her mate Sara Pascoe about feminism; Jesse Armstrong of Peepshow and The Thick of It fame discussing F. Scott Fitzgerald; Bruce Robinson talking about Withnail & I; humourist Chris Donald reminiscing about Viz magazine. And who can forget Noel Fielding’s exhibition of paintings last year?
