A journey into Cornish folklore, myth and magic
Folk Tales of myth and magic do not always have to come from some dim and distant land…sometimes these tales are born from the land beneath our very feet. Folklorist Steve Patterson will be taking you on an hour’s walk around the Port Eliot Festival site sharing true tales of piracy, ghosts, myth and magic; all drawn from this rich and ancient landscape.
The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic in Boscastle has been on the North Cornish coast for over 50 years and houses probably the most comprehensive collection of witchcraft and folk magic artefacts in the world. Steve Patterson lives and works on a farm in west Cornwall. He is a folklorist, woodcarver and author and has worked as a volunteer in the museum for the last 20 years.
