Sophie McKeand is an award-winning poet and the current Young People’s Laureate for Wales. She performs internationally, and was a recipient of a Literature Wales writers bursary in 2017. Her poetry has been published in outlets including Poetry Wales, Tears In The Fence and Dark Mountain, as well as on the Caught by the River website, for which she has also written prose pieces. Her first full-length collection, Rebel Sun, is out from Parthian books in May 2017. She’ll be performing as part of poetry hour 11:30 - 12:30 on Friday of the festival.
