Sarah Husband

Sarah Husband specialises in flower decorating for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, funerals, parties and much more...

Sarah was born and brought up on a Hill farm in Cumbria.

She has a Fine Art degree from the Byam Shaw School of Art, London specializing in printmaking. After leaving Art School she started working for Michael Howells arranging flowers for many amazing private parties. In 1990 she married and moved to North Wales and started gardening and cooking for private clients. This grew and grew, as did her love of gardening inspired by my mother Lavinia Lowther, who was an amazing gardener and cook, and who taught her about both skills from an early age.

She then moved to North Yorkshire, where she grew her business gardening and flower arranging for herself, Michael Howells and Kitty Arden.

In 2002 she was coerced into the school kitchen, by the then principal and owner of a small coed private school. There was some questions raised about the quality of the school meals, and it was felt some one with a good background in home cooking was needed to turn the kitchen around. Sarah took up the mantle with gusto and did the ‘Jamie Oliver treatment’ before Jamie Oliver, and the rest is history.  Sarah ran it for 8 years and was exhausted, so retired and returned to gardening and flower arranging. She still cooks for her family and extols the virtues of healthy eating.
