Bleach London

Fresh from the success of a recently refurbished Dalston salon, Bleach London co-founder Alex Brownsell makes a special guest appearance at the Bumble and bumble tent in The Wardrobe Department.

Alex fell in love with the world of hairdressing at the age of just 12, working in her mother’s salon in the Midlands. Now 24, she regularly works on shoots for some of the world’s most influential magazines such as I-D, Dazed and Confused and British Vogue. At the same time she has led the trend in experimental hair colour; using her kitchen as a hot spot for the fashion elite - transforming their hair into amazing technicolor shades. Two years ago Alex and business partner Sam Teasdale successfully opened the Bleach London Salon which was quickly adopted by the fashion crowd. The pair also have a pop-up salon at Topshop’s Oxford Circus flagship.

Port Eliot festival revellers can get the Bleach treatment with free hair stencilling in the expert hands of Alex, using new limited edition Bumble and bumble coloured hair powders. Seen at lots of the S/S ’12 shows, hair stencilling combines coloured hair powders with cut-out designs to create a tattoo for your hair that will wash out in plenty of time for work come Monday (we promise)…
