The Loose Salute
Blissed out surf rock with a country-twinged vibe, The Loose Salute is the latest project from drummer, singer and guitarist Ian McCutcheon of Slowdive and Mojave 3 fame. Grabbing the crowd by the scruff of their music-loving necks, The Loose Salute travel through dreamscapes, surfer’s paradises and bonfire-lit beaches in search of the perfect riff - and never fall wide of the musical mark.
Made up of Lisa Billson on vocals, keys and percussion, Charlotte King on percussion, bells and whistles and Alan Forrester on bass and keys the band split their time between London and Cornwall feeding off both the bustling and calm cultures respectively. Partygoers at heart, The Loose Salute bring the atmosphere of the beach onto the stage and into the arms of Port Eliot’s festival-goers in the scenic Caught By The River area.
