The No 9 Bus to Utopia is David Bramwell‘s adventures visiting the world’s most extraordinary communities, in search of a better life in the 21st century. On his travels, David lived in anarchist and free love communities, a futuristic city in the Arizona desert and Damanhur, a thousand-strong community in the Italian Alps, with an underground temple the size of St Paul’s Cathedral and a ‘fully functioning time machine’. David returned home, determined to make a difference in his own city of Brighton, and began a ‘quiet revolution’ that changed the lives of thousands of people. David Bramwell is the creator of the bestselling Cheeky Guide series, host of Brighton’s long-running salon, The Catalyst Club, and a radio presenter for BBC Radio 3 and 4.
