Sam Amidon

Sam Amidon is an American folk artist hailing from Vermont. His fourth album, Bright Sunny South, featured covers of trad US folk songs alongside tracks by the likes of Mariah Carey. Pitchfork described Sam thus: “He not only has an impressively deep knowledge of traditional song forms, but takes liberties with the country’s past in order to document his own personal present.”
