Anna Hansen

Anna Hansen was born in Canada but grew up in New Zealand, in a family peppered with Danish culinary influence. After a culinary tour of India and Thailand she landed in London in 1992 where she worked at Fergus Henderson’s French House. In 1998 Anna took up the role of pastry chef at Peter Gordon’s Sugar Club, then two years later she and her partners launched the award-winning The Providores and Tapa Room. Anna opened her first solo restaurant, The Modern Pantry, in 2008 to rave reviews. We’re delighted to welcome her to Port Eliot this year, where she’ll be promoting her new book The Modern Pantry Cookbook (Ebury).
