He may only be in his late 20s, but James Walbourne’s musical pedigree is already an enviable one. Stints playing live with the likes of The Pretenders, The Pernice Brothers, The Pogues and session work with Jerry Lee Lewis, Edwyn Collins and Linda Thompson amongst others have gained him a respect beyond his years.
His own debut album, which he’ll be performing at Port Eliot this year, is a real showcase of his singer-songwriter abilities, with delicious flavours of country-rock, folk and bluegrass, and topped off with a rock and roll yowl.
