Self-proclaimed ‘populist’ photographer Martin Parr is an author of almost 50 books, and has been featured in more than 80 exhibitions worldwide. His iconic photographs provide a thought-provoking, satirical commentary on the social and consumer world around us. Recently, Martin was invited to be curator of the Brighton Photo Biennial, and we’re delighted to welcome him back to Port Eliot this year, where he’ll be roaming the festival, taking photographs throughout and creating a live exhibition in the basement of the House.
“There’s a very English sensibility to so much of Parr’s work: understated, ironic, gently humorous.”
