Justine Picardie

Justine Picardie returns to this year’s festival with her bestselling biography Coco Chanel: the Life and Legend released in paperback, which has sold over 50,000 copies and been translated into 15 languages. She’ll be talking about camellias at the Flower Show this year.

Justine is the author of five books, including her best-selling memoir, If The Spirit Moves You and her most recent, critically acclaimed novel, Daphne. The former features director of Vogue and editor of the Observer magazine, she is currently a fashion columnist for the Sunday Telegraph, and also writes for several other newspapers and magazines, including Harper’s Bazaar and Red.

“The author is at her best in the analysis of (Chanel’s) throw-away lines, picking up every discarded clue and using it suggestively.”
