Best known for his literary parodies Kafka’s Soup and Sartre’s Sink – in which he presents recipes and DIY tips in the style of famous literary writers – Mark Crick is a British photographer and author.
His latest volume, Machiavelli’s Lawn, The Great Writers’ Garden Companion, is the third and final collection of domestic advice written in the style of the literary greats. He returns to Port Eliot this year to delve into the world of gardening in literature, (both classic and contemporary) in a talk at the Flower Show.
“Crick has chosen his literary ingredients carefully and marinaded them in irony, adding a sprinkling of bathos and anachronism. The resulting confection is irresistibly moreish”
