Samuel Levack & Jennifer Lewandowski

This year Samuel Levack and Jennifer Lewandowski present Chelsea Boot Tuesday, a new installation inspired by the 1948 movie The Red Shoes. Embracing the heightened experience of the non-stop dancer and the intensity of the late 1960s psychedelia movement, the artwork is housed in a specially designed wooden pavilion.

Reimagining the Technicolour landscape of the original film, the space is cast in a rainbow of coloured gels with blue and red lights cutting through the room. Featuring a soundtrack by Das Hund - the duo’s experimental music project - and multiple projections of dancing films playing repeatedly they hope you will get the feeling of a heady all-nighter as a hypnotic vision.
