Louise Wilson

Louise Wilson

If the importance of a university educator can be judged from future success of her alumni, then Louise Wilson OBE tops any world league table of professors. Students who have walked through the fire of her crits on her MA Fashion Course at Central Saint Martin’s now populate both London Fashion Week’s lauded shows (she taught Christopher Kane, Jonathan Saunders, Louise Gray, Roksanda Ilincic, Richard Nicoll, Mary Katrantzou and others) and the fashion houses of Paris, New York and Milan.

Professor Wilson’s unique, razor-edge ability to discriminate between the ordinary, the merely good and the exceptional stems from her panoramic knowledge of fashion history and the influences which feed it. She will be revealing some of that vision as she reveals her Top Ten Fashion Books, in conversation with Sarah Mower.
