Philip Marsden

The award-winning author of eight books including The Bronski House, The Main Cages and The Chains of Heaven: an Ethiopian Romance, Philip Marsden’s work has been translated into more than a dozen languages. He’s a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and won the Somerset Maugham Award for his second book, The Crossing Place: A Journey Among the Armenians.

Philip lives in an old farmhouse on the Fal estuary in Cornwall with his wife, two children and a boat. At Port Eliot this year, he’ll be presenting ‘The Levelling Sea – The Story of a Cornish Haven in the Age of Sail’.
