Patrick Barkham

Feature writer for the Guardian – where he has reported on everything from the Iraq War to spa holidays for men – Patrick Barkham also has a keen interest in nature. His latest book, The Butterfly Isles - A Summer in Search of Our Emperors and Admirals, focuses on his passion of butterflies and recounts his summer spent searching for the 59 species from the British Isles. He’ll be sharing this passion with our festival-goers this year by leading a Butterfly Walk around the estate. He’s currently working on a new book about badgers, to be published by Granta Books.
