Simon trained at Leeds College of Art, where he initiated his lifelong commitment to Land Art. His works respond to art history, ecology and horticulture. For 40 years, Simon has investigated and developed the dynamics of his early conceptualist intentions, authoring a practice that is deep-rooted in understanding how people and place coalesce, how moments become legacies and how the union of art and land creates horizons from which we may perceive the dynamics of place.
