The Boogie Round

Nestled in the trees, in a secret late-night venue deep within Port Eliot’s gardens is a new addition to the festivities. The Boogie Round will be open from midnight until five every morning, featuring an array of world-class DJs playing their personal 7-inch collections. Expect disco, soul, funk, reggae, rocksteady and rockabilly to keep you dancing all night long, from a host of special guest DJs including Jon Kennedy, Richie Phoe ad DJ Skitz:

Jon Kennedy
(Saturday night)
One of the leading beatsmiths of our era, Jon Kennedy will be bringing beats to make your feet move – topped with sweet, sweet melodies. A drummer, producer and DJ, Jon’s flavour is pure dancefloor candy and he has been busy rocking stages worldwide with his live band. He’ll be spinning the very best in UK funk, soul and hip hop for your dancing pleasure.

Richie Phoe
(Saturday night)
He’s been compared to Lee Scratch Perry, has collaborations with Max Sedgley, Grand Central and Tippa Irie under his belt and will be bringing his trademark reggae to Port Eliot. Richie Phoe’s beats – inspired by the likes of De La Soul and D.I.T.C – will be bringing a deep and positive vibe to the Boogie Round dancefloor.

Skitz
(Sunday night)
At the forefront of the UK hip hop scene, Skitz has taken his style global – working with the likes of Roots Manuva, Rodney P, Estelle, Beverley Knight, Foreign Beggars, Roni Size Faithless and Lamb. Never one to follow fashion or bow to musical fads, Skitz will be breaking genre boundaries, carving out his own distinct style for you in the Boogie Round.
