Edward Fox

Edward Fox OBE is an actor with a long and varied career on stage, television and screen. His film accolades include The Day of The Jackal (1973), A Bridge Too Far (1977) and Gandhi (1982). He has enjoyed a successful career in television and his work includes Edward & Mrs Simpson and the BBC's adaptation of George Eliot's Daniel Deronda. We’re delighted to welcome him to Port Eliot this year, where he’ll be reading TS Eliot’s ‘The Wasteland’.

His We Are Camping tour through Port Eliot’s campsite will explore the pleasures and promise of camping, and unveil the secrets of the occult radical scouting movement, The Kindred of the Kibbo Kift. Murray Lachlan Young

Murray Lachlan Young is known for his punchy wit, brooding subtext and occasional attacks of unaccompanied erotic folk song. Murray made his name as a writer performer in the rock clubs and underground cabaret venues of London in the mid 1990s. His unique blend of dark satirical stand-up verse and prose shot to fame in 1996 when, signing to EMI, he became the first ever poet and spoken word performer to be given a £1 million record deal.

Acclaimed designer and portrait artist, Nigel Waymouth’s quintessential pop posters are synonymous with the summer of love era. He co-founded the original rock-chic boutique, Granny Takes a Trip, and together with Guy Sangster Adams will be doing a special event in the Walled Garden about the retro boutique.
