Glorious Chorus

Having been warmly received at recent Port Eliot Festivals, Glorious Chorus looks set to dazzle again this year as the choir returns with a brand new repertoire of a-cappella soul, blues and jazz.

Directed by inspiring composer, Helen Yeomans, Glorious Chorus has established an awesome reputation for passionate and polished performances. The choir was shortlisted for the BBC’s Last Choir Standing series last year, but withdrew when they were told they couldn’t perform any original music. Producing brilliant new music is what Glorious Chorus does best!

Helen writes from the heart, taking inspiration from current events, universal experiences, love, loss and the fragility of human endeavour. Her songs have caught the imagination of choirs all around the UK and have been accredited by Unisong International Songwriting Competition.

Soloists bring their individual gifts to the performance, adding extra glitz and glamour to an already visual feast. Watch out for the dulcet tones of Louise Parker, Holly MacInnes-Hurd and Jo Curry as they infuse the songs with passion and power. Forget any preconceptions you may have about the word ‘choir’ – Glorious Chorus are a choir for the future that will, quite literally, stop you in your tracks.
