Nicky Haslam

Nicky Haslam is a flamboyant, high society figure and interior designer with a vast repertoire of saucy stories. Friend and confidante to a huge number of stars over the years – from Andy Warhol to Jean Shrimpton, JFK to the Queen Mother – you can be sure there’s never a dull moment when he’s around.

Nicky is a frequent columnist for the London Evening Standard and Sunday Telegraph magazines. He also writes reviews for The World of Interiors and The Spectator. His recently published autobiography, Redeeming Features (2009) lifts the lid on his unusual upbringing and colourful private life.

Used to moving in the most glamorous of circles, Nicky was educated at Eton and his mother was Queen Victoria’s goddaughter. With his fabulous connections and flair for being the host with the most, he’s as well known for his partying as he is for his impeccable taste (his favourite quote is “Let’s just paint it white”).
