Trevor Moss & Hannah Lou
Trevor Moss and Hannah Lou are a humble young husband and wife folk duo. Having toured the country supporting Gorillaz with their previous indie band Indigo Moss, they split from the scene to go it alone because, in Trevor’s words, “being in a hip band wasn’t as much fun as we thought”. Their current sound is a blend of folk and bluegrass that is “rooted in England” (Drowned in Sound).
Their recent self-titled debut album Trevor Moss & Hannah Lou (2010) has received various forms of praise, including from Purple Revolver, who state that it fuses “beautiful, gentle harmonies and intricate musical structure…which flow in and out of more bouncy sounds and quirky lyrics, reminiscent of acoustic moments from the recordings of everyone from Woodie Guthrie, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones.” Released under the independent Loose Music label, the album was co-produced with Danny George Wilson and Romeo Stodart of the Magic Numbers.
As part of Indigo Moss their achievements included two Records of the Week on the Phil Jupitus Show on BBC Radio 2 and a performance at Le Centre Penitentiaire pour Femmes de Rennes, France’s largest women’s maximum security prison! As Trevor Moss & Hannah Lou they’ll perform at the slightly more relaxed venue of Port Eliot, on the Caught By The River stage.
