The Bucket Boys

After diverse, fascinating and highly accomplished individual careers working with the likes of Pink Floyd, Kirsty MacColl and Mike Oldfield, Cornish band, The Bucket Boys, formed to entertain audiences across the region with their very own brand of blues, R & Beebop and rural swing.

The backgrounds of the band members are as interesting and as varied as their music. Steve Turner is an accomplished slide, lap steel and guitar player featuring on tours, gigs and recordings with renowned artists such as Kirsty MacColl and Billy Jo Spears. Rick Worthy worked in theatre as an actor, singer and director and joins the band as the singer. Drummer Willie Wilson worked with Pink Floyd’s touring line-up, performing in concerts and film soundtrack of The Wall. Tim Renwick is a studio session guitarist and sideman and has accompanied numerous artists including Elton John, Eric Clapton, Mike Oldfield, Dionne Warwick and extensively with Pink Floyd. Chris Duddle on string bass is the new addition, who’s driven the rhythm of many respected bands and played with The Grit Band, Razzamatazz, Stagefright, Samoa, Wamma Jamma, Black Cat Bone, The Flying Tigers and The Hothouse Playboys.

Together, they’ve appeared at Cropredy Festival, Lanhydrock’s Blues in the Park, The Eden Project, The Hall for Cornwall and The Jazz Cafe Plymouth as well as recording two very well received CDs, Waxahotty and Current Catastrophe.
