Heather Brooke
Heather Brooke is an award-winning writer, journalist and activist. Her unprecedented five-year campaign for the full disclosure of MPs’ expenses led to a full-scale reform of the Parliamentary expense system. Her story was made into a film by the BBC, starring Anna Maxwell Martin as Heather. She was also given the Judges’ Special Award at this year’s British Press Awards.
Heather is the author of The Silent State (Heinemann) and Your Right to Know (Pluto Press). She is an honorary professor at City University’s Department of Journalism and a regular contributor to newspapers and television programmes.
